Our programmes

Long-term change starts with stronger communities.

Hope Foundation runs three education programmes in Mumbai: after-school tutoring for girls, a community computer lab, and scholarships with school kits. They run year after year, with targets we publish and a fund behind each one.

Figures on this page come from our own records, as of 25 September 2026. Hope Foundation is a fictional organisation built for a Salesforce demo.

Our programme areas

Focused on what children need most.

Three programmes, designed and delivered with the communities they serve: access to learning, the digital skills that follow it, and the money and materials that keep a child in the room.

A programme is the work

It runs year after year. It has enrolled learners, a cost per learner, outcome indicators with targets, and a fund that holds its money. The three above are all of them.

A campaign is how a slice of it gets paid for

A campaign is a time-limited appeal with a goal, an end date and a total raised. Several campaigns can fund one programme, and a programme carries on after a campaign closes.

Our approach

How our programmes create change.

A people-first, evidence-informed way of working that puts the community at the centre — and then checks, out loud, whether it worked.

See what we measure
  1. 01

    Listen & understand

We sit with families, teachers and local partners to find out what is actually keeping a child out of the classroom — fees, materials, distance, or the hours a girl is expected to work at home.

  2. 02

    Design with communities

Each programme is built with the people who will run it. Timetables, subjects and venues are set by local coordinators, not handed down from an office.

  3. 03

    Deliver locally

Sessions run in the neighbourhood, at the Andheri Community Centre and the Dharavi Learning Hub, staffed by tutors and coaches who live nearby and are paid for their time.

  4. 04

    Measure & improve

Every programme carries outcome indicators with a target and a reporting date. We publish what we hit and what we missed, and change the programme when the numbers say so.

Evidence

What we set out to do, and what happened.

Every indicator we track, for all three programmes, target against actual. Nothing is left out because it went badly.

Where we work

Stronger communities across India.

Every programme is delivered in partnership with local organisations. Today that is two neighbourhoods of Mumbai — the places we can reach every week, week after week, rather than the places that would look best on a map.

What your support enables

Invest in people. Create opportunities.

Each figure below is that programme’s own recorded cost per learner for a year, rounded down. No rounding up, no averages borrowed from somewhere else.

Donations to eligible institutions may qualify for deduction under Section 80G; a receipt with the foundation’s details is issued for every gift. Name, PAN and address may be required where applicable.

Transparency & accountability

Committed to doing better.

Reports, financials, programme outcomes and the policies that protect the children we work with — published, including the parts that did not go to plan.

Registration details shown across this site read “Demo registration”: Hope Foundation is not a real charity.

Be part of the change

Support a programme that matters to you.

Give to one of the three, or let us put your gift where the gap is widest this term. Either way the receipt names the fund it went to.
